Legal Help

The Office of Clinical and Pro Bono Programs is an academic office and does not provide legal services or advice to members of the public. We do not have practicing attorneys on staff and cannot match members of the public who are seeking legal help with a student or professor. We assist students in obtaining clinical placements and pro bono projects, through which the students themselves may work on legal matters as part of their placement organization.

If you are seeking legal assistance, please do not call the Office of Clinical and Pro Bono Programs. We encourage you to instead work through a local organization that may provide what you need. Information on national legal resources and local legal resources in Massachusetts and, in some cases, other states is noted below.  Please see www.lawhelp.org for a more complete, state-by-state list of legal service organizations.

HARVARD LAW SCHOOL DOES NOT SUPPORT, ENDORSE, OR PROVIDE OFFICIAL REFERRALS TO ANY OF THESE GROUPS OR WEBSITES. THEY ARE PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
