Dean Cosgrove is the primary advocate for law students within the Law School and the University. She counsels students on academic, personal, and professional matters. Together with the members of the staff, she coordinates and supports a range of student services, programming, special events, and residence life. She serves as the liaison between students and the Administrative Board (which handles matters involving student discipline and exceptions to faculty and administrative rules). Dean Cosgrove graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 1984 and spent four years in corporate and investment banking in New York prior to attending law school. She graduated from The University of Chicago Law School in 1991 and spent 8,325 billable hours in private practice at LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae (now Dewey & LeBoeuf). She has been a law school Dean of Students since 1995 (at Chicago from 1995 to 2004 and at Harvard since 2004). She has received awards from graduating students at both Chicago and Harvard recognizing her contributions to the law school community. Dean Cosgrove has served on the Association of American Law Schools' Executive Committee for Student Services, and is currently serving as a Trustee of Mount Holyoke College and a Director of Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers, Massachusetts’ Lawyer Assistance Program, the official confidential counseling and referral resource for Massachusetts law students, lawyers and judges and their families.
As a Disability Services Assistant, Louis Arcudi provides services and support to ensure that all students are able to access and participate in the opportunities at Harvard Law School. Louis specializes in adaptive technology, specifically providing electronic versions of course materials, access to course content, and emerging technologies in the disability field. In addition to providing disability services, Louis coordinates HLS Wellness, an initiative that promotes academic, physical, emotional, spiritual, and social wellbeing through comprehensive programming. Louis received his bachelor’s degree from Boston University.
Hayley Brown is the Student Housing Coordinator in the HLS Dean of Students Office. She oversees all aspects of housing on campus including the lottery, move in and move out logistics, and billing. She also works with her amazing team of resident advisors to make sure that each dorm is a pleasant and respectful place to be on a daily basis. She spent the last two years in the Office of Major Capital Projects, helping to build the new Wasserstein Hall, Caspersen Student Center, Clinical Wing building. Hayley grew up in south Texas and majored in English and theater at Rice University. She misses Mexican food and 70 degree winters.
Chloe will be the second person to greet you every time you come into the office, whether you're just coming to grab some candy or if you have business to take care of. She is happy to answer any of your questions regarding Student Services and then some. You will see her answering phones, organizing calendars and working on a project for whoever needs help in the office that day - and usually at the same time. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Communications at Boston University, Chloe worked in the crazy world of catering and events before moving into her jack-of-all-trades position in DOS - so feel free to ask her advice on anything event related.
Lakshmi Clark-McClendon is the Assistant Director of Student Services. She is responsible for managing the facilitation of law student access to academic, co-curricular, and social activities at the University. Lakshmi oversees the coordination of disability-related accommodations for the Harvard Law School community, wellness programming, and is also the primary contact for law student emergency or illness. Before joining the Dean of Students Office, she worked at New York University's Moses Center for Students with Disabilities. She has a Master of Arts in Learning Disabilities from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs from New York University.
Tracey will greet you just about every time you call or visit the Dean of Students Office. She is a resource for any services available through the DOS Office and is also here to answer any questions you may have about the Law School in general. She is always there with a ready smile and available to help. Tracey joins the team after earning her Bachelor's degree from Northeastern University in Boston and working in the Athletics Department at MIT. She is no stranger to the Boston area so you can pick her brain on interesting places to go in the city. Feel free to test her on any sports, movie or music trivia.
As the Director of Student Affairs, Meg directs the support of student organizations, journals, web design, housing, the 1L Program, and planning and implementation of Orientation, Commencement and all small and large programs in between. She works very closely with many members of the Dean of Students Office staff to make it all happen. With the Law School's approximately 100 student organizations, 17 journals, and 550 residents, and 560 1L students to support with co-curricular and extra curricular activities including symposia, conferences, and website needs, she's able to assist and direct you toward the abundant resources at HLS. Ensuring information about HLS policies, University policies, and related laws are enforced, she works to integrate student organizations and create synergies in event planning and creating independent programming. After receiving her bachelor's degree in American Studies from Fordham University, she went on to obtain her JD and LLM in International Business Transactions from Suffolk University Law School where she served as President of the Student Bar Association.
Sheena Prosper works in the Student Journals Office and manages the subscriptions for the Journals. She is in charge of invoicing and processing the subscription payments. She also processes claims and maintains the Journals databases. In addition, Sheena creates a fun and friendly environment where the Student Journals staff can feel free to inquire about any subscription issues that they may have. In 2005 Sheena began her HLS career in the Financial Office as an Accounting Assistant before moving to the Dean of Students Office in 2008. Sheena has an A.S. in Human Resources Management and is currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Political Science at Northeastern University.

Catherine works with the Dean of Students Office as well as the student journals and organizations to help them develop high quality print, web, and other graphic design work. She helps the Communications Manager build, maintain, and update more than 100 various websites, assists in dozens of events throughout the school year. She also plays a key role in creating the print materials for commencement and orientation. In 2010, Catherine received her B.S. in Graphic Design from the New England Institute of Art. She volunteers her time as the sole graphic designer for the Whale and Dolphin Conservation of North America.
Stephanie Russo is the Disability Services Associate in the Dean of Students Office. She works with the Disability Coordinator to provide disability and housing accommodations. Additionally, she helps to provide support to HLS students during mental, physical, and emotional emergencies. Stephanie is dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive environment and believes that no question is too small. She earned her Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs at Salem State University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and English at Stonehill College.
Having served as a front face of the DOS office for her first year, Darris is the current Student Programs Manager and works most closely with our approximately 100 organizations and 17 journals to help engage students in campus life and to maximize their term of studies here at HLS through supported programming, events coordination and resource management. She assists the Director of Student Affairs with major events such as Orientation and Commencement and oversees journals operations and the publications cycle with the support of the Subscriptions Manager. Darris also manages the office finances and is available to discuss the options and logistics for making purchases on behalf of a student org or journal, checking your group’s current budget, arranging student or guest travel, or seeking reimbursement for expenses made out of pocket. Darris comes to HLS as a recent graduate of the Divinity School with her Master of Divinity. She particularly enjoys working closely with the org and journals leadership and members and making the DOS office a welcoming and helpful point of contact for all HLS students and visitors.
Yvonne Smith oversees, monitors and manages the committees that perform the functions of the Board of Student Advisers (BSA), including Upper Round Ames, Orientation, First Year Ames, Williston and Course Evaluations. Yvonne has worked at Harvard Law School since 1987.
