CAP Offices (Pound 407), Harvard Law SchoolJoin the Child Advocacy Program (CAP) and the Office of Clinical Programs for a CAP Brown Bag Lunch. Talk with Prof. Elizabeth Bartholet and Lecturer on Law Jessica Budnitz about CAP courses and clinical opportunities which will be offered in 2006-07. Pre-registration for these classes is around the corner (in April) so this lunch is a great opportunity to start planning for next year. Students are welcome to bring their lunch. Drinks and dessert will be provided.
CAP Movie Night -- "Born Into Brothels"

Filmmaker Ross Kauffman will screen his Academy Award-winning documentary about the children of Calcutta's red-light district brothels. Munch on snacks and watch as Ross' co-director and producer Zana Briski teaches the children how to use cameras to capture the world around them in an illuminating and moving film. Professor Elizabeth Bartholet will introduce the film.
Afterwards we'll have a discussion with Ross, followed by a trip to Om, a bar in Harvard Square, for cocktails and appetizers and more talk with Ross.
Co-sponsored by the Women's Law Association, HLS for Choice, StopDV, the South Asian Law Student Association, Child Advocacy Program, Child and Youth Advocates, and East Asian Legal Studies.

From 4:00 – 5:00 PM CAP professors will provide detailed information about the classroom Child Advocacy Law Course, the Policy Workshop, and the Clinical Program, including lists of planned clinical placements. Together with current students we will also provide information about CAP research and volunteer opportunities and other CAP activities. Then join us for a CAP Open House from 5:00 – 6:00 PM.
Class registration is coming soon, so this is a great opportunity to find out more than you can from the bare course descriptions in the catalog and to get all of your questions answered.

Film Series
In Fall 2004, CAP launched a year-long film series. We screened Big Mama, Eyes on the Prize, and Juvies. At our film events, guests had the opportunity to learn about CAP's philosophy and programs. Following the film screening, we facilitated a brief discussion about issues raised.
