Drinks and dessert will be provided.

CAP Movie Night -- "Born Into Brothels"

7:00 PM
Pound 102, Harvard Law School

Film, snacks, cocktails and conversation!

Filmmaker Ross Kauffman will screen his Academy Award-winning documentary about the children of Calcutta's red-light district brothels. Munch on snacks and watch as Ross' co-director and producer Zana Briski teaches the children how to use cameras to capture the world around them in an illuminating and moving film. Professor Elizabeth Bartholet will introduce the film.

Afterwards we'll have a discussion with Ross, followed by a trip to Om, a bar in Harvard Square, for cocktails and appetizers and more talk with Ross.

Co-sponsored by the Women's Law Association, HLS for Choice, StopDV, the South Asian Law Student Association, Child Advocacy Program, Child and Youth Advocates, and East Asian Legal Studies.

Film Series

In Fall 2004, CAP launched a year-long film series. We screened Big Mama, Eyes on the Prize, and Juvies. At our film events, guests had the opportunity to learn about CAP's philosophy and programs. Following the film screening, we facilitated a brief discussion about issues raised.
