Student Organization Funding Application Information for the 2009-2010 Academic Year

The Student Funding Board will be reviewing applications for organizations interested in receiving funding for use during the 2009-2010 academic year. All organizations interested in applying for funding must submit the following information:

  1. Organizational Profile - This document (preferably a word document) will give the Student Funding Board a closer look at the underlying purpose of each organization. The document must contain the following:
    • Name of your organization
    • Number of current members
    • Organization's current budget status including current year's allocation and year-to-date expenses. Detail requirements are the same as that of the midyear activity report.
    • Statement of Purpose:
      • Statement of organization's goal; mission of the organization
      • Who or what the organization represents
      • How the organization benefits the students/community at HLS
  2. Uniform Organizational Budget - A list of projected expenses for the upcoming academic year. Be sure to clearly indicate the total amount you are requesting. Use this Excel template to get started.
  3. Budget Explanation - provide and in-depth explanation of the projected expenses and lend insight into how the various budgetary items relate to the overall mission of the organization. Included should be a clear statement of your reasons for applying for funding. Please remember that the goal of this section is quality of explanation, not quantity. 

            *NOTE: The Budget Explanation information can be included in the fields of the Uniform Organizational Budget spreadsheet or can be submitted as an additional Word document.

No application will be reviewed for any organization that has not submitted a Midyear Activity Report.

Deadline for Submitting an Application is Friday, March 20, 2009 at 1:00PM

  • Please e-mail all application materials to William Howell.
  • Final funding decisions will be e-mailed no later than Friday, May 1, 2009. (Make sure that updated leadership information has been sent to William Howell)
