Readings focused alternately on English legal tradition and on the Roman-canonical tradition. The topic for 2022–2025 will be the Roman-canonical tradition. Short papers analyzing texts will be required but not a research paper.

Note: Offered jointly with the Law School as Law 2166 .

Prerequisite: Some Latin required.
