Selected Newspaper & News Collections. The following are selected newspapers, newspaper collections, newspaper indexes and other resources of use to legal researchers. Locate additional newspapers using Find E-Journals; locate additional newspaper collections and indexes using Find E-Resources; both are components of E-Research @ Harvard Libraries. Use Citation Linker to quickly locate a newspaper by title. The Widener Library Newspaper Microfilm Reading Room and the Boston Public Library Newspaper Room each house extensive collections of newspapers in print and in microform.

AP Multimedia Archive

The AP Multimedia Archive is a digital collection of over 700,000 Associated Press photographs, charts and other graphics from the 1840s to the present. Accompanying captions and credits are also included. The AP Multimedia Archive can be searched by topic, location, date and concept. Boston Public Library Newspaper Room

The Boston Public Library Newspaper Room has a long tradition of collecting and preserving newspapers. The BPL retains in remote storage over 10,000 Massachusetts newspapers in print, over 1,000 from throughout the U.S. and hundreds of foreign newspapers. The BPL currently subscribes to over 300 newspapers from around. Over 5,000 newspapers are available in microform in the BPL Microtext Department.

An advance look at job announcements is available every Friday morning before their appearance in the Monday printed issue. Widener Collection of Newspapers on Microfilm
- Widener Collection of Newspapers on Microfilm
The Widener Library Newspaper Microfilm Reading Room is the primary Harvard repository of newspapers on microfilm from the U.S. and other countries. Use the Widener Newspapers on Microfilm Collection Search to locate newspapers in the collection. The Newspaper Microfilm Reading Room also houses a collection of print newspaper indexes. Print indexes were produced for a several regional newspapers beginning in the late 1970s and early 1980s but most ceased publication by 1992 with the advent of online availability.
